A woman wants to use the skin from her own amputated leg to make a handbag.
According to Metro, 55-year-old Joan lives in Manchester and has bilateral arterial disease. As a result, she will need to amputate her left leg surgically. Instead of throwing her leg in medical waste, Joan is now looking for a designer who wants to turn her into a handbag .

Joan wrote that she knew her request was strange and grotesque, but she could not leave her leg to rot somewhere. She was part of it and wanted to keep it, and she had the idea when she read about a lady wanting to make a dress from her mother's hair.
Joan says she sees no difference between the use of animal skin in clothes and accessories, where the same can be done with the skin of her leg, especially as some keep the umbilical cord of babies and the ashes of relatives after their death.
